Urban Moods

I have lived in capitals, in large and medium-sized cities. All medium-sized cities resemble each other in some ways; they have their own modest charm, their points of pride, their own ailments, and their envy of the capitals. Each city has its own character. But when you live in one long enough, your perception of that character becomes increasingly subjective, reflecting more and more your own state of mind in that place.
